HEC Launches free Online Scholarship Disbursement Portal for 1500 Students

HEC, United States Agency for the USAID & NBP launch the online scholarship portal with the USAID-funded on Merit & Needs-Based Scholarship program which includes thirty universities across the Pakistan.

HEC scholarship programme is a part of USAID’s Merit & Needs Base Scholarship Programmes with 30 partner universities in Pakistan and also the first programme that HEC start online disbursement.

Under this scholarship programme, our ATM cards will be issued to every student to withdrawal their funds for both tuition & payments and living expenses. In this programme, National Bank of Pakistan accounts will be open for 1,470 awarded students from 30 partner universities in Pakistan. First payments will be issue using the new system next week.

Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Arshad Ali, Executive Director, HEC said,
“The conventional methods of stipend disbursement have involved lengthy procedures at the partner universities, which frequently delayed stipend release to the scholarship recipients. Now, through the new online stipend disbursement mechanism, students will receive payments directly into their bank accounts, ensuring maximum efficiency.”
